About the 2022 Audi S3 Sedan

The 2022 Audi S3 may be small in size, but it's big on performance and luxury. The S3 boasts an impressive selection of features that elevate its stature in the world of sports sedans. All-new inside and out, the S3 boasts more head, leg, and shoulder room than the previous model, as well as impressive new tech that's shared with flagship Audi models. A 10.1" MMI® touchscreen interface with handwriting recognition technology is standard, while the available Audi Virtual Cockpit includes a heads-up display.

A more powerful 2.0 liter TFSI® engine powers the new S3, delivering over 100 additional horsepower versus a standard A3 - and buyers will also find larger brakes, a lowered sport-tuned suspension, and more aggressive bodywork than the A3. While driving, you'll be cradled by comfortable 8-way power adjustable heated sport seats. A new dynamic handling control unit allows the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) unit to work in unison with the quattro all-wheel drive system to provide tenacious traction and control in all situations.

What the Critics Say

"The 2022 S3's performance figures and thoroughly upscaled underpinnings make us think Audi is on track to make this sport sedan the best it's ever been. The A3's shell provides an appealing starting point. Exterior styling is more complex and mature than before, while the interior appears to gain luxury, quality, and features. Now, there's more that makes it an Audi than the badge on its grille." - Motor Trend

"The new A3 and its performance-oriented S3 counterpart ought to provide stiff competition for its competitors in the compact luxury sedan segment." - Consumer Reports

What's New for 2022

The Audi S3 is all-new for 2022. The aggressive yet subtle body styling is fresh, yet unmistakably Audi. Dimensions have grown slightly inside and out and the new S3 is 1.6 inches longer and 0.8 inches wider than its predecessor. Drivers and passengers alike will appreciate the increases in headroom, legroom, and shoulder room, as well as improved materials throughout the cabin. The 2.0 liter TFSI® turbo four-cylinder has been tuned to increase power by 18 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque over the outgoing model. Standard infotainment has been upgraded to the 10.1" MMI® touchscreen, and standard driver assistance features now include blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning.

Audi S3 Performance

Audi Sport Performance

For the first time, the Audi S3 boasts over 300 horsepower right off the showroom floor. The 2.0 liter TFSI® engine produces 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, an improvement of 18 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the lightning-fast shifts of the even-speed dual-clutch S-tronic® transmission, the 2022 Audi S3 can rocket to 60 miles per hour from a standing start in just 4.5 seconds. Even the tightest corners are no match for the sport-tuned suspension (15mm lower than the A3) and the sure-footed traction of quattro all-wheel drive. Stopping fast is just as important as going fast, and that's why the Audi S3 utilizes upgraded 357mm front brakes and vented rotors front and rear.

Audi Sport Styling

The unique styling of the Audi S3 starts right up front, with an aggressive, sporty grille that lets you know that this is no ordinary Audi. The modified front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper with integrated diffuser do more than provide curb appeal - these aerodynamic aids help the S3 to maintain stability at high speeds. The tasteful rear spoiler finishes ofthe look while providing necessary downforce. Quad exhaust tips work with the aforementioned diffuser and spoiler to give the Audi S3 a purposeful high-performance look from the rear. Although these touches aren't found on the standard A3, they don't look like tasteless add-ons. Instead, they are perfectly integrated into the design of the Audi A3, presenting a complete performance package.

Comfort, Luxury & Performance

A good performance car should be focused on driver engagement. That design ethos extends to the interior of the 2022 Audi S3, which boasts more headroom, legroom, and shoulder room than its predecessor. Standard equipment includes heated, 8-way power adjustable sport seats that hold you in place during high-speed maneuvers. Naturally, they're upholstered in supple leather with quilted stitching for extra style. Standard infotainment includes a 10.1" Multi-Media Interface (MMI®) touchscreen that recognizes handwritten inputs. The available Audi Virtual Cockpit, found in flagship Audi models, offers a heads-up display as well. Standard driver assistance technology, such as Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Audi pre sense® basic, keep you safe during your daily commute. With the S3, you're ready for anything.
