About The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron

Audi has always used advanced technology as one of the best ways to differentiate itself from the competition. These days, that’s especially obvious in the field of electric vehicles, where Audi is an undeniable leader. The A6 Sportback e-tron is proof of this, with the kind of performance, range, and comfort that other brands can only aspire to. The A6 Sportback e-tron features styling that blends elements of other Audi EV models with the conventional A6 and A7 models, despite riding on a different platform from the gasoline-powered A6 with which it shares a name. The two instead share a name because the newer electric model gives you the same kind of experience that you’ve come to expect from Audi’s gasoline-powered models, including the advanced technology that is an Audi hallmark.

What The Critics Say

“The 2025 Audi A6 is arguably the best A6 the German carmaker has ever built. But here’s the thing: It’s also the first A6 ever built without an internal combustion engine. Yes, the smooth, quiet, fast, electric-powered A6 e-tron is a benchmark Audi, a tangible expression of the winds of change roaring through legacy automakers as they transition to designing, engineering, and manufacturing their own electric vehicles. The point is the new Audi A6 e-tron is not just a good EV—it’s a good car. Period.” - MotorTrend

“The A6 e-tron undeniably advances Audi's EV game and gallops ahead of its closest rivals.” - Car & Driver

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Features

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Charging

Cutting-Edge Drivetrain

The A6 Sportback e-tron isn’t the first model to get Audi’s incredibly advanced 800-volt battery architecture, but the results are still remarkable. The drivetrain is available in two different configurations, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The RWD version comes with a single electric motor that produces 375 horsepower, while the AWD version produces 456 horsepower. That’s impressive, but the range numbers are even more impressive. Range has gotten a lot better on electric vehicles in recent years, with most offering somewhere around 300 miles on a full charge, but the A6 Sportback e-tron is well ahead of the curve, with 370 miles in RWD form and 333 miles for the AWD version. There is also the available Ultra Package, which boosts range to 392 or 377 miles, depending on which drivetrain you selected. This nearly 400-mile range comes thanks in part to the A6 Sportback e-tron being the most aerodynamic model in Audi’s history, but also the advanced battery technology. This tech also makes it possible to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, noticeably quicker than competitors.

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Interior

Luxury Interior

The A6 Sportback e-tron blends the traditional luxury elements that have always been part of Audi interiors with cutting-edge tech to enhance the experience. In the traditional luxury department, the A6 Sportback e-tron comes with standard leather upholstery, an increasingly rare feature even for luxury vehicles. The three-zone climate control makes sure that everyone is comfortable, and also comes with a heat pump, a more efficient way to heat the interior, so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing range when the weather gets cold. The ambient LED interior lighting offers a sophisticated way to see the interior at night. And an audiophile-grade sound system is always a good way to enhance a luxury experience, so Audi offers an 830-watt system with 20 speakers made by Bang & Olufsen®.

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Head-Up Display

Advanced Technology

We’ve touched on a few of the advanced features of the A6 Sportback e-tron already, but there are more of these features everywhere you look. Even the panoramic sunroof is an impressive technological feat, using polymer-dispersed liquid crystal technology to change from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button. Plenty of vehicles offer head-up displays so drivers can keep tabs on things like speed and fuel/battery levels, but Audi takes it further with the use of augmented reality technology for things like navigation, taking it to new levels of usefulness. The Audi Virtual Cockpit display wraps around the driver so that you can have more screen real estate for more features without making the driver reach over to control things. And if it’s the passenger who is usually the one looking for the right music or finding a phone contact, a second passenger-side touchscreen is available. Technology gives you a more comfortable ride, too, thanks to the available adaptive air suspension, which is also height adjustable.
