The S6 Sportback e-tron shows that this holds true for electric vehicles too, with Audi’s industry-leading EV tech making it possible to have incredible performance, excellent range, and the quickest charging available all in the same vehicle. Blisteringly quick acceleration and agile handling are on tap when you want them, while the quiet cabin, generous cargo space, and comfortable ride make the S6 Sportback e-tron enjoyable to drive around town and practical, especially since you’ll never have to stop at a gas station. The S6 Sportback e-tron might be built on a completely different platform from the gasoline-powered S6, but both versions provide the same unmatched performance experience.

The S6 Sportback e-tron is powered by a pair of electric motors that produce a system total of 496 horsepower. When you’re in an especially big hurry, there is a Launch Mode that turns the output up to 543 horsepower, allowing for a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds. That’s more power and quicker acceleration than the already seriously impressive numbers for the conventional S6. You get quattro® all-wheel drive standard, and there is rear-bias power delivery and wider rear wheels for better performance handling. This goes well with the sport adaptive air suspension, which maximizes grip, minimizes body roll, and still gives you a comfortable ride across all sorts of surfaces and driving conditions. Because of Audi’s technological prowess, all of that power comes with an impressive range of 324 miles. The 800-volt architecture means that the S6 Sportback e-tron charges quickly too, able to go from 10% charge to 80% in just 21 minutes on a DC fast charger.

We’ve already mentioned the technological edge that the drivetrain gives the S6 Sportback e-tron, but Audi didn’t stop there. Even the glass roof works with advanced technology, in this case, polymer-dispersed liquid crystal technology. This allows you to turn the roof opaque in a second, or just turn certain of the nine segments opaque for partial shade. For better visibility, there are available digital OLED taillights, and nine alternative daytime running light signatures that you can choose from. The Audi Virtual Cockpit wraps around the driver for easier use and visibility, and the available augmented reality head-up display extends important information to the windshield. There is even an available passenger-side touchscreen, so the passenger can find music or where to have dinner while the driver focuses on the road.
