About the Audi SQ5

There's no reason why you can't have a vehicle that is quick and fun to drive as well as practical. To prove that point, Audi presents the SQ5, a performance-oriented version of the mainstream Q5 crossover. Under the hood you'll find a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that produces 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, yet this power is coupled with an incredibly soft ride and an interior that swaddles both driver and passengers alike in comfortable luxury. Inside, there are unique seats and carbon fiber trim pieces, while the exterior is differentiated from the standard Q5 with unique wheels, painted calipers, and black mirror caps. Like the Q5, there is a Sportback option as well, to add a little extra style to an already great-looking vehicle.

What's New for 2025

The high-octane Audi SQ5 benefits from a wide range of updates and changes for the 2025 model year. You'll notice exciting visual updates including a revised front grille with functional air intakes, new headlights, and updated side profile character lines. Buyers can now select from a range of new alloy wheels including sizes up to 21 inches in diameter. Ultra Blue Metallic and Daytona Grey Pearl are two new paint choices offered for 2025 as well. Finally, tweaks to the Black optic plus package and the arrival of a new Magnesium grey package give shoppers more ways to personalize their Audi SQ5 than ever before.

Thrilling Performance

Although it isn't the only difference, the engine is the most important thing that separates the Audi SQ5 from its mainstream cousin, the Q5. Where the Q5 has a four-cylinder powerplant, you'll find a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 in the SQ5 and that means you'll receive 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. That's a significant bump in power and it's enough to launch the SQ5 to 60 MPH in just 4.7 seconds while delivering a top track speed (when equipped with summer tires) of 155 MPH. The SQ5 also receives a tuned suspension with S-specific adaptive damping, providing a smooth ride while firming up when needed for performance. The four-piston brake calipers from the Q5 are also replaced by a beefier six-piston setup for even more stopping power.

Refined Interior

Audi doesn't think that performance should come at the expense of comfort or luxury. The critics already praise the SQ5 for its class-leading ride comfort but settle into the heated quilted leather S-specific seats and you'll see that this commitment to luxury extends well beyond the suspension setup. The standard three-zone climate control system will ensure that a comfortable temperature is enjoyed by all and the LED interior lighting package illuminates without causing eye strain. For those who want a bit more natural light, there is an available power panoramic sunroof. You can enjoy all of this along with the soothing sounds of the available Bang & Olufsen® sound system with 3D sound.

Superior Versatility

There are plenty of ways to go fast but the advantage of the Audi SQ5 is that it's also so usable as everyday transportation. Behind the back seats is a large cargo area measuring 25.9 cubic feet and the 40-20-40 split-folding back seat makes it easy to fit longer items like skis and still fit four adults in the seats. You even have the option of two different roofs, either the standard or Sportback configuration, depending on which aesthetic you prefer. The legendary quattro® all-wheel drive system makes easy work of snow and mud while the heated seats keep you warm. Adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist reduces fatigue on longer trips, even in heavy traffic. If you're thinking of bringing some extra gear along on your travels, the SQ5 even has a towing capacity of 4,400 lbs.
